Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Google sign-in: your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We never see your Google password.
• Institute accounts: the name and email your institute registered for you, plus your enrollment and plan details.
• Typing activity: your test results and practice history — speed, accuracy, marks, and the passages you attempted — so you can track progress and your institute (if any) can review your results.

Guest mode

Trying a sample test as a guest requires no account, and guest results are not saved anywhere — they disappear when you leave.

Cookies & sign-in

We use one first-party cookie (ti_refresh) to keep you signed in between visits. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on this website — a privacy-first tool that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites.

Inside the app we use PostHog to understand which features are used, so we can improve the product. These events carry a random device identifier and, when you're signed in, your internal account identifier — never your name or email. Typing speed and accuracy are recorded only as coarse ranges (never the text you type), and no analytics cookies are used. Analytics data is deleted along with your account on request (see below).

What we never do

• We never sell your data.
• We never share your data with advertisers.
• We never send marketing email you didn't ask for.

Data retention & deletion

Your results stay in your account so your history and progress keep working. To have your account and all associated data deleted, email us at support@typingteacher.in from the address on the account, and we'll confirm once it's done.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date above. Significant changes will also be announced on the What's New page.
